About me.
Hello, I'm Danielle Wiebel, the owner of D. Marie Lactation. I am a mother of two boys, I breastfed them each for about two years. I’m married to my college sweetheart and we just recently celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. I live in Oswego, NY now but I lived in Plattsburgh, NY for about 5 years and that is actually where I started my business. We moved here in February of 2019 to be closer to family.
Through the struggle of breastfeeding my own boys, I discovered a love of supporting others on their journeys. I completed my lactation counselor certification in July of 2019 and started my business that August.
Why?
80% of parents who choose to breastfeed or chestfeed their babies do not meet their feeding goals. In the early days it can be hard to get out of the house with a newborn and it is important to receive lactation support at the first sign of a struggle. The biggest drop in lactation rates is between 2 weeks and 2 months, my hope is that by having in home support available that these rates start to improve during that crucial time.
